During our recent family vacation in Grindelwald, we stayed at Hotel Alte Post, a property that truly embraces the spirit of the Swiss Alps while catering to families. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warmth by Frau Gruber-Abegglen and her attentive team, quickly making us feel right at home after a long hike from Murren. Our adjoining rooms on the second floor offered stunning views, a fantastic setting for morning coffee while the children played on the balcony. The hotel's proximity to both the Grindelwald-Wengen Ski Area and local tennis courts meant we were never short of family-friendly activities. From the thrilling 43 ski lifts nearby to swimming facilities and even paragliding, we found plenty to engage everyone. Breakfast was a highlight, providing a comforting start to our days filled with adventure. Although we experienced slight noise from the courtyard, the convenience of being steps from the ski lift made up for it. If we return to Grindelwald, Hotel Alte Post would undoubtedly be our choice again.
